public safety agencies

a holistic approach to mental wellness

A major focus of Dr. Bartlett’s professional work is promoting first responder wellness by assisting public safety agencies in the creation and implementation of effective mental wellness programs. In addition to providing agencies with programming for their at-risk personnel, she strongly believes in the importance of proactively approaching mental wellness by designing resources intended to keep high-functioning, healthy personnel healthy. Dr. Bartlett’s approach is holistic in that she integrates prevention, early (at-risk) intervention, and crisis intervention resources to ensure an agency’s wellness programming targets the needs of every individual.

It’s important to remember that mental wellness programming is not “one size fits all”, and there are many factors that determine the best fitting curriculum such as the type of agency, it’s size and location, and it’s budget. Therefore, you can expect Dr. Bartlett to customize her services for your agency’s unique needs. Dr. Bartlett has experience serving a variety of public safety agencies and departments across the U.S., including wildland and structure fire, law enforcement, EMS, and dispatch.

  • Dr. Bartlett believes that one of the most effective ways to proactively approach mental wellness is through education. It also tends to decrease stigma associated with talking about or struggling with mental health. To this end, Dr. Bartlett provides customizable educational resources to agencies across the country on a wide variety of mental wellness topics that are designed specifically for public safety professionals.
