Scientific Research

Dr. Bartlett considers herself a true scientist-practitioner given that her unique specialization as a trauma psychologist comes from a combination of extensive hands-on clinical training and rigorous scientific research. To that end, she’s published numerous scientific pieces based off her research examining risk and resilience factors among first responders, military, and trauma-exposed civilians including dozens of peer-reviewed article publications, presentations at national and international research conferences, and a co-authored book chapter. She also developed and ran nation-wide studies examining a number of mental health correlates among first responders. She used the data collected from these studies for her dissertation, which examined trauma and suicidality among firefighters and EMS personnel.
